More and more time to work with other working partners, I strongly believe that design is needing a guide and rule to educate the essence of the design. Design itself should be creatively free form. More “Options” in creative manner is required. But when it comes down to communicate, design requires a tremendous amount of disciplines. A guide or rule to communicate in structured manner. Any thought?

I often surf around the web and found old colleagues who I have not work with directly. Peter Kim was one of those. I knew his name from Razorfish back in 2000. Maybe I have spoken with him couple of time over the phone while he was working at Puma International. Recently I found his blog from another social networking blah blah… It’s facinating articles he filled in his blog. This is one of interesting his post I would like to share with.
While rumbling with designer in a large team, I often find myself as the most arrogant person in professional world. Frankly, it is true.
I should be a good thinker, a good listener. Before I express myself, I must listen. It’s very difficult task often in front of my own designs. There are different styles, approaches, eyes. Listening to all these axis are hard.
However, design is a state of problem solving. Without listening or collaborating with others, I could not reach the right answer for design problem.
Design is making a progress to help people’s life and convenience. So Design could be a process, and outcome.
But all these activities are providing a solution for the problem in different design fields and for people’s living.
