David Warren (co-founder at Tank design) and Rob Alexander (currently he is working for Office) informed me a while back ago regarding their exciting venture for PUMA. This is simply fantastic work and it stands out among all PUMA 2007 campaign. I’m so proud of their works, talents and once I used to work with them. Just brilliant…

You can also find some of tank’s work in Le Book.
Well, this is totally not a new news to me. And it’s not a new style of reflecting bad economy and bad performance of company. I have been through this. Trust me. I have been through all dot com events back in late 90’s and early 00′.
However this is somewhat shocking to me. A team who lead innovative design and solution for their innovative services, especially competing with much bigger giants like Google or Microsoft, this does not make much sense to me.
Guess HR only looks through how many people are on “Bench” – most of R&D work is not “Sell” items so it can be reflected as “Bench” activities (I’m exaggerating…)… then fire them?
Sad and confusing…

Keep thinking of this sign in front of my hotel door. My first impression was “wft!”. Well, if I give more look on this with some time, I realize the sign I’m seeing is different from my first impression. A index finger is covering the mouth. That’s what it is. How come I got an impression with middle finger sticking up to the air? Because of line art work. It’s too thick and lips isn’t look like what it suppose to be. Guess some people would not think about the way I think. But obviously it didn’t work with me well… Especially this button is only 1.5 cm by 2 cm size…
Sleepless nights… again. Insomnia I am… Well, digging up my old boxes around room, I found few blocks of metal type set… and surf the net and found this one.

It’s online service run by Graphic Touch Letterpress company. It’s quite interesting letterpress shop which originated from 1934. The current owner Keith Berger has run the business since 1984. I should try it…
