Buzzwire is a great example that our life is morphing into mobile communication. Things get little fuzzy in the states, but everywhere else, mobile communication is a strong yardstick to make your life moving. Fast data connection is available in such countries like Korea, Some Europe, Australia, more people spent more money and time over their tiny display in handhelds. It’s not so strange to see those who holds their mobile phone with videos, games or other content. “Mobile phone access will be the next significant Internet phenomenon.” – Symbian Yeah possibly and definately. It may not be the same notion as your desktop or laptop in near terms, but ultimately it will be.So I have this opportunity to rebrand their aming up with Rob Alexander always gives me a great opportunity to think about what it makes different “visually”. Much appreciation to Rob Alexander and Rob Strong.

David Warren (co-founder at Tank design) and Rob Alexander (currently he is working for Office) informed me a while back ago regarding their exciting venture for PUMA. This is simply fantastic work and it stands out among all PUMA 2007 campaign. I’m so proud of their works, talents and once I used to work with them. Just brilliant…

Almost few months, or could be years… I’m not sure where I’m heading to. I had a great meeting with team yesterday and day before yesterday. It’s non creative, but good team base meeting hours. However, something is missing from there. All we talked about is negotiating each other and process. It’s a BIG process in order to do one single action. Since my position is dealing with working partners who almost have all resources. We knew we cannot ignore our creative issue and decided to confront it head on. However, my question is how much?
Today is day 1 for me. Day 1 of a new start…
Well, this is totally not a new news to me. And it’s not a new style of reflecting bad economy and bad performance of company. I have been through this. Trust me. I have been through all dot com events back in late 90’s and early 00′.
However this is somewhat shocking to me. A team who lead innovative design and solution for their innovative services, especially competing with much bigger giants like Google or Microsoft, this does not make much sense to me.
Guess HR only looks through how many people are on “Bench” – most of R&D work is not “Sell” items so it can be reflected as “Bench” activities (I’m exaggerating…)… then fire them?
Sad and confusing…
